Hi Everyone,
I know, it’s been way too long. Life has been very full, and so much has been happening behind the scenes that I sometimes forget what chapter we’re in, literally and figuratively. But I just wanted to pop in and say hi and thank you. Truly. Thank you to all of you who’ve stuck around, checked in, and kept cheering from the sidelines of this beautifully chaotic journey.
I honestly thought I’d have told you the whole story by now, but life had other plans. We’ve got a spirited toddler who believes sleep is for the weak, and I’m still in Beirut on the narrative page, writing in the hush of night, eyelids propped open by caffeine, music, and maybe a little woo woo. I’m still chasing the first time I saw the Christmas Star, the gunpoint escape (with the footage hidden in my bra, naturally), the haunted 1880s barn, the movie that never saw daylight, and the family we fought like hell to bring home. And I haven’t even gotten to the part three years and a whole continent later when our dingo dragged a deer leg to Joseph in the wilds of Idaho. Yes, that actually happened.
But here’s the good news.
Starting this Tuesday, I’ll begin releasing audio episodes from the very beginning.
So many of you have asked for this, especially my fellow busy bees who can only listen these days, and I finally found the courage to deliver. These episodes are paired with original music by the incredible Milo Cantor, who captured the soul of the story in sound. It’s raw, intimate, and he nailed the vibe.
Then on Thursdays we’ll pick up right where we left off with the written episodes, starting with Episode 16: Moon Over St. Charbel.
I still can’t believe it’s been nearly a year since I started sharing Joseph and my story. I’m honored and slightly stunned to begin this next part with you. There’s a lot more to come and I’m really ready to tell it. Now if someone could just invent a 29-hour day, that’d be great.
Thank you for being here.
With love,
April
I second the 29-hour day!
Can’t wait to listen 😉
